Remember that time uber baseball fan Bill Murray showed up in Winnipeg to help promote the game between the Winnipeg Goldeyes and the team he’d just signed on to as a co-owner, the St. Paul Saints?
There he was, near the Fort Garry Hotel on the boulevard that separates the two directions of traffic on Broadway, shaking hands with drivers stopped at the lights, mugging for photos, and just generally being…well, Bill Murray.
Weird. Funny. Shambling. And easily one of the coolest guys on the planet.
In the days before and since, he’s gained a reputation for showing up unannounced at this event or that, crashing parties, taking over behind that bar to serve drinks at weddings. Just the coolest.
