Nope. Not in Winnipeg…in Texas. But it just goes to show that potholes aren’t just a Winnipeg (or even Canadian) problem!
After getting fed up with the potholes plaguing his neighborhood in the town of Dickinson, Zach Weeks decided to take matters into his own hands by learning how to repair the roads himself on YouTube.
He spent $150 out of pocket on pothole-filling supplies, and filled filled three potholes near his house with help from his wife and a friend. “There’s a lot of people that said it was illegal and there was a lot of liability involved. But I couldn’t find a single case of anybody being stopped,” he added. Weeks now plans to take his gripes to city hall. “That’s where I hope this is leading. A city-backed or a community-funded effort,” he explained. “I really think we can fix all this.”
Welcome to our nightmare, Zach!!
