Fleetwood Mac fans were caught off guard last spring when Lindsay Buckingham was let go from the line-up.
The band has always been a democracy, and they’d collectively decided that they would launch their next major tour this fall. At some point, so their story goes, Buckingham changed his mind and wanted to push the tour back a year to next fall.
The band decided they couldn’t wait, Buckingham wouldn’t budge, so they let him go and moved on with their plans, bringing in Neil Finn (or Crowded House fame), and Mike Campbell (of Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers) to fill the void.
Earlier this week, the new lineup debuted on Ellen’s show with their first live appearance together.
