Star Trek: The Next Generation, the much-loved sequel to the original TV series (and a few of the early movies) ran for seven seasons from 87-94.
News came out a few weeks ago that Patrick Stewart would reprise his role as Capt. Jean Luc Picard in a new series re-boot.
The original series cast has remained close over the years, and Trekkers got a thrill over the weekend when Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi) shared a photo for fans to enjoy as they got together for dinner.
As Sirtis said in her tweet, the gang was almost all there, including LeVar Burton (Geordi LaForge), Gates McFadden (Beverly Crusher), Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard), Sirtis (Deanna Troi), Brent Spiner (Data), and Michael Dorn (Worf).
Jonathan Frakes, who played William Riker missed the dinner, probably because he’s directing Star Trek: Discovery in Toronto right now.
