You know who loves a good treasure hunt reality show? This guy.
Check that. I *used to* love a good treasure hunt reality show…but I just got tired of all of the red herring “clues” that they dangle in front of our viewing eyes, before reaching another dead end. I’m looking at you Curse of Oak Island.
So last week, I’m watching as a new treasure hunting series premiered, The Curse of Civil War Gold. AS a history buff, and specifically, a Civil War buff, it had my attention, until I recognised the voice of the narrator from “Oak Island”, and then there on the screen, lo and behind it’s Rick Lagina – one of the brothers hunting for the Oak Island treasure. I bailed right there and then.
But look at this, seems that something might be brewing in Pennsylvania, where treasure hunters have been for years on the trail of another stash of Civil War gold, purportedly buried in 1863 by the lone survivor of an attack on the wagon train that was carrying gold bars that today would be worth just under $30 million dollars.
Looks like they might have finally found something. The full story is HERE.
