Researchers discovered two major security flaws in processing chips which affect nearly all computer, tablet and smartphone users. It hits Apple, Google, Amazon & Microsoft devices. Spectre and Meltdown are bugs that exploit ow processors predict and carry out tasks. The flaw leaves sensitive data vulnerable, but there’s been no reports of the bugs being used yet.
So, what can you do? You’ll need to update your software. Apple, Microsoft and Google have all released patches to help protect against them. Check your phone’s settings to upgrade. Web browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Safari are scheduled for updates. But there is a downside. The patches may slow down your devices.
