It’s been an emotional journey getting to this amazing night of music and celebration. From being the last outdoor performance for Streetheart to now being a tribute to the late Kenny Shields.
The meat ya need to prep your night:
– Gates open at 4:30pm, first band (The Pumps & Orphan) at 5:30pm followed by Harlequin, Honeymoon Suite, and Members of Streetheart & Friends with special guests from Loverboy. On Field lawn chair seating is limited so be sure to arrive early. Event ends at approx. 11:00pm.
What are the Seating Policies?
Seating is General Admission which means there is no reserved seating. Seating areas include both On Field and Grand Stand seating. The Stage is located in Centre Field so great views from both the stands & field. The designated On Field lawn chair seating area is limited so be sure to arrive early!
Can I bring lawn chairs?
Guests are welcome to bring their own foldable lawn chairs/bag chairs for the designated On Field seating area (seats are not provided in this area). To ensure clear sightlines for all guests & prevent field damage, only camping style lawn chairs with bottom pads or bars (not pointed legs) will be permitted. (**Lawn chair seating area is limited so be sure to arrive early.)
Will merchandise be available to purchase?
Yes! There will be a VERY LIMITED number of Winnipeg Classic RockFest commemorative t-shirts available to purchase, plus also additional merchandise from the bands. Merchandise will be available on the Concourse by Section L.
Where can I park?
There are numerous parking lots around Shaw Park just south of the ballpark with access from Pioneer Avenue, William Stephenson Way and Waterfront Drive. Fans requiring wheelchair access can be dropped off near the Security Entrance on the west side of the ballpark; event staff will be present to help direct you to accessible seating areas.
Is there accessible seating?
Yes, wheelchair-accessible seating will be available at Shaw Park either on the concourse/stands or on field (persons with wheelchairs can either use their wheelchair on the field or transfer to a lawn chair, whichever is preferred). Event staff will direct you to accessible seating via the main Security entrance.
Will there be a rain date?
Winnipeg Classic RockFest runs Rain or Shine – Tickets are non-refundable (but Rockers don’t mind a bit of rain!)
Are there ATMs?
Automated Banking Machines are located in Shaw Park on the Concourse behind Sections J, N & S.
Can I smoke at the festival?
Smoking isn’t permitted in Shaw Park but there will be a designated smoking area for this event.
Can I bring my own food/drinks?
No outside food & beverage allowed. Onsite concessions and bars located along the main Concourse area are available, offering a wide variety of meals, snacks and beverages. Empty reusable water bottles/containers are permitted (you can fill them at the water fountains)
Are there age restrictions?
No, Winnipeg Classic RockFest is an All Ages event; Children two years old and younger do not need a ticket to enter Shaw Park when accompanied by an adult.
Is camping available?
No camping but lots of hotels within walking distance
Are animals permitted?
No animals permitted. Exceptions include guide, service and/or signal dogs to persons with disabilities.
Are cameras allowed?
Yes, amateur photos are permitted. Any photos that are taken can be for personal use only. Please respect the audience and the artist when snapping your shots.
Where is the Box Office located?
The Box Office (or Ticket Office) is located at street level on the west side of Shaw Park. Tickets are available to purchase the day of the event but we recommend buying tickets in advance for lower pricing and to avoid box office lineups.
Can I exit and re-enter during the event?
No exit and re-entry will be permitted during RockFest with the exception of emergencies.
Is there First Aid available?
Yes, it will be clearly marked; event staff can help you get there if you need it.
Can I bring an umbrella?
Umbrellas are permitted with the following exceptions; no oversized/golf/beach umbrellas will be permitted.
Where will washrooms be located?
Washrooms will be located on the concourse level and Field level. Wheelchair-accessible washroom facilities are also available.
Bars at RockFest will be operated with a Drink Ticket system as follows:
· All alcoholic drinks require a drink ticket, no cash sales for alcohol · There will be three tables on the concourse selling drink tickets (sections G, I, and O), accepting both cash and debit/credit · There will also be two tables on the field selling drink tickets, accepting both cash and debit/credit · There are three ATMs on the concourse (sections J, N, and T) · Goldie’s Grill and Subway accept cash, as well as debit/credit · All other food concessions are cash only edit button to change this text.
OH! And heads up…
No weapons or fireworks allowed.
All patrons are subject to being searched as a condition of entry. Winnipeg Classic Rock Fest reserves the right to refuse admittance or to evict anyone who creates a disturbance, causes a nuisance or breaks any of the above Rules & Regulations without refund of admission.
Lewd conduct, of any kind, will not be tolerated and if in violation patrons will be removed from the festival site.
Prohibited Items: In the interest of guest safety and enjoyment at Shaw Park, Management reserves the right to prevent certain items from being brought into the venue.Prohibited items include, but are not limited to the following:
food, alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs, non-alcoholic beer
glass bottles or cans
ice chests or hard-sided coolers
sticks/clubs (including signs attached to sticks)
camera tripods or monpods
fireworks and confetti
bullhorns, cow bells or other noisemakers
animals, except certified services dogs
beach balls or other inflatable items
skateboards or roller blades
squirt guns or super soakers
weapons of any kind
