The Drive Lineup
Alix came into this world kicking and screaming through the halls of St. Boniface hospital at around 4am. She started in Winnipeg Radio & TV in the early 90’s and then branched out into the States. Her first stop was New Hampshire, followed by Minneapolis, MN and then Myrtle Beach, SC. After several years of working in the States, the “pull” to return was too much, Alix headed home and got back on the air. At one time her voice was heard on over 7 radio stations across Canada.
Kelly was born and raised in Winnipeg. Now 29 years into his radio career, Kel’s resume includes award-nominated TV host, TV and stage actor and he’s a busy magazine writer on the side. When he’s not on the air, he’s IN the air – a current provincial champion skydiver, coach, instructor and part of the Canadian Formation Skydiving record. Kelly’s a golfer, landscape photographer, musician, and loves travelling & any other adventure that he can find. Also, sleeping – all of that stuff is tiring!!
Dez has spent 25 years moving around the radio dial, 21 of them here in Winnipeg. She’s currently the host of “Great Tastes of Manitoba” seen Saturday nights at 6:30 on CTV, and is also a full time student at the University of Manitoba. Between books, bedtimes with her two kids and big bottle of gin, she’s thrilled to be spending weekday nights with you on 94.3 The Drive.
The first concert I can remember begging my parents to take me to was U2’s PopMart Tour in 1997, but it wasn’t until 2001, when I attended my very first concert – The Guess Who and Joe Cocker live at the Winnipeg Arena. I was raised on great music from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s and I am so happy to bring those songs to you each and every day as Music Director of 94.3 The Drive and hang out with you live on the air every weekend!
Clock in for ‘The Night Shift with Tom & Kerri’ weeknights from 10 ‘til Midnight. Enjoy the top of the morning along with a generous helping of Winnipeg’s Greatest Hits!
