It’s only been about 80 years since the concept of the UFO came to the world’s consciousness; not surprising since, at that time – with Orson Welle’s “War of The Worlds” radio broadcast making news – flight itself here on earth had only been a reality for 35 years.
Then came the so-called Roswell UFO Incident with the reported – by the Us Air Force – and then, a day later, the rescinding of the report of the recovery of a crashed UFO and a dead alien inside.
As a result, the UFO craze began, along with the endless debate: Are we alone in the Universe, and are we/have we been visited by beings from another planet.
Officially, that possibility has always been denied, until recently, when the US Dept. of Defense and the New York Times revealed an official Pentagon program aimed at answering the question.
Part of that announcement was the release of video shot by a Navy jet back in 2004.
In an interview on CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront, former Pentagon official Luis Elizondo said, “My personal belief is that there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone.”
He went on to say, “”These aircraft — we’ll call them aircraft — are displaying characteristics that are not currently within the US inventory nor in any foreign inventory that we are aware of.”
