This is such a great story, just had to share it. Until a few days ago Johnny Bobbitt was down on his luck, but that has since changed after one random act of kindness. The veteran helped 27 year old Kate McClure, who was stranded alongside of a highway outside of Philly when she ran out of gas. After calling her boyfriend, she noticed a stranger approaching. It was Johnny, homeless and with his last $20 bucks, he told her to wait in the car and bought her a can of gas.
At one time, Bobbitt was in the Marine Corps, but recently had fell on hard times. According to a friend, his life took a turn for the worse because of drugs and money problems. Now with his one act of kindness, thousands of people are pitching to help the homeless veteran with a heart of gold. Mcclure and her boyfriend set up a gofundme page for him and set a $10,000.00 goal. Within a couple of days, it reached over $100,000. The page was taken down for a time, because Bobbitt didn’t want to look like he was taking advantage. But, people still wanted to donate. The page is now back up and over $300,000 and still growing!
