Game 7 of the World Series airs live tonight from Dodger Stadium (or whatever company has the naming rights), and if you’ve been watching like I have, you’ve been playing a little game of your own: Spot the Celebrity.
This is also a fun one to play when you’re watching Cubs playoff games, where Bill Murray is pretty much always getting lots of screen time, but John Cusack also shows up from time to time, among others.
Dodger games however, are target-rich environments, so to speak. Mary Hart (ex of Entertainment Tonight) stands out like a sore thumb, so she’s an easy one, and hasn’t missed a playoff game.
The fans in that section right behind home plate move from seat-to-seat a lot, so sometimes she’s also a moving target, which adds to the fun. Mary is always with her husband Burt Sugarman (of “Midnight Special”-fame), and once in awhile, you’ll notice that they seem to be with a turtle in a ball cap. That’s an easy mistake to make, but it’s actually Larry King, silly.
There are several people in their section whom you *think* you might know, but they’re hard to place. Part of the fun when the game gets a little slow.
I’m not sure how much World Series tickets cost for season ticket holders, but they can’t be cheap behind the plate. As a matter of fact, the average price on StubHub for a ticket to tonight’s game is about $1800 (just to be in the park!). Behind home plate in Mary, Burt and Larry’s section, however, they’re going for slightly more…
A Los Angeles news outlet has been out celebrity-spotting at the games; use this gallery to help you when you’re watching tonight.
