Kevin Vickers won my heart in 2014, when the then former sergeant-at-arms helped stopped an assailant who killed Canadian Forces member, Cpl Nathan Cirillo on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Then last year he took down a republican protester disrupting a memorial for British soldiers killed. He took hold of the guy by both arms and dragged him across the lawn before handing him to authorities.
That’s our man, Vickers! He’s now Canada’s ambassador to Ireland and is dealing with a new kind of threat. Ghosts. He has reported hearing strange sounds at his official residence in Dublin. Lying in his bedroom, he heard “laboured breathing” and footsteps coming up the stairs. He checked and no one was there. Watching television, he heard a chain hit the floor in the dining room. Again he checked, and nothing was there. Apparently it’s gotten so bad at Glanmire House, that often maids refuse to go upstairs. Creepy! Vickers even wrote in on his facebook page that he didn’t believe in ghosts until he move there.
