As a dinosaur nerd from way back, these stories always trip me out.
The amber aspect of it is particularly fascinating to me because I once found a small piece of amber about the size of a quarter with the impression of a sea shell imprinted on it. Amazing, and I have to think there’s a chance it was left over somehow from when this who area was part of a tropical sea.
The other thing that blows my mind about amble relics is the fact that, with something like this, you’re literally looking at a point in time that has been preserved.
Is it just me, or does it seem like there was one helluva lot of tree sap around back then?
