I’m a huge Roger Waters/Pink Floyd guy, and Waters’ new tour gets underway this weekend.
He’ll roll through Winnipeg once again in October, and no doubt the show will be every bit as awesome as his last two visits here in 2007 – when he played Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety – and his The Wall tour stop in 2012.
By all accounts, Roger’s set was the highlight of the Desert Trip shows a year ago, and with The Stones, The Who, Paul McCartney, Neil Young and Bob Dylan also on the bill, that’s saying something.
Roger’s new album, Is This The Life We Really Want?, is set for release in a couple of weeks, and is already garnering universal praise from those who have heard it.
Leading up to both the album release and tour, Roger has been doing press, including a pretty solid interview with EW that finds him every bit as informed, opinionated and feisty as ever.
Check it out HERE.
As for the tour…Roger had said after The Wall tour wound down that he thought he had one more album, and maybe a smaller scale tour left in him. Looks like he was half right, based on the video he tweeted out last weekend. Check the video!
